Kia Ora, or I should say Merry Christmas🎄, welcome back to my blog. Today I will be showing you my Advent calendar for Advent.

As you know it’s December and I think it’s Christmas time, at least I think most people are like its not Christmas time till 10 of December but Christmas time is the same time as Advent. What’s Advent? Advent is where we celebrate our savior Jesus Christs birthday. that is the same as lent although we celebrate our Savior rising from the dead. I had a task where I had to make a calendar for all of advent and what I needed to do is to put in boxes what I would do everyday to show gratitude for the full 24 days of Advent here is my task bellow.

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog. Today I will show you my story that I made over the past few weeks.

My story is about a lion and his pineapple. The reason I pick a Lion and pineapple is because my favorite animal is a lion and I love pineapple more than anything in the world. it includes my favorite bird, a parrot. Also a tiger, on the up coming slide I made every character on my own and it even says on the title slide. These animals I’ve made have taken me ages so I hope you like them. I wanted to share this with you because I want people to see the characters that I’ve made.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been reading the book holes. we have a set of slides that we put our tasks on and I am going to share with you everything about it including the creates. I like this book I think it is so interesting and cool I wanted to share it. there are lots of cool stuff to look at and I hope you like all of them. Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog today I will be showing you mine and my buddy’s Timeline on a story.

Our task was to describe in each box what you needed to be in a story to make it interesting It included, Orientation: Where is the story set. Rising Action: What problems or conflicts will the main characters face. Climax: What happens at the most exciting part of the story. Falling Action: How might the characters solve the problem or conflict. Resolution: What happens to the characters at the end of the story. that’s the cycle on what a good story would make. Here is and example.

This example was from a story we read together, the story was about a hungry bear looking for food and found a polar bear. this polar bear had food and the bear did not he asked share a piece with me please? the polar bear said only if you can help me find a home. they searched everywhere for a home a cave, lake, mountain but the found nothing they went to the ocean and finally found what they were looking for.

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog today I will be telling you about my Jesse Owens create this week.

As you know we have been learning about the Olympics recently and I will be showing you the create that we had to do. Our creation was to read articles and watch videos and then reflect on them in a Google drawing. The videos and articles we had to read were about Jesse Owens a black American. If you don’t know who Jesse Owens is he was a 1936 Olympic athlete and was an American and was awesome. He won 4 gold medals that year and broke a few records.

Why is it important we stand up for groups of people that have been unfairly treated? It’s important because how would you feel if you have been treated with no respect and just got bullied all the time its just unfair. How have the Olympic Games helped and hindered athletes of color? It helps them because if they keep doing it means that others will do it which means it ends up with heaps of people of different race are competing. What is fairness and how can we promote it in sport? By having a referee that doesn’t support one of the teams playing which means they won’t be biased.

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog today I will be telling you about my reading that I have done this week!!

Recently we have been learning about the Olympics and this week we were learning about Olympic corruption. If you don’t know what corruption is i’ll tell you! It is when people are dishonest and use it to cheat, like if I was a runner and I lost by 3.67 seconds but I bribe the judge to give me the win that would be corruption because I am cheating and corrupting the leader board. Now that you know what corruption is, this week we read 3 articles and they were all about corruption in the 2024 or previous Olympics. Here below I will show you my creation on the 3 articles and leave the link to all three of them. 🙂

So today our task was to make a poster as if you were a coach for the Olympics and make a poster on what is Doping, what are the consequences if you dope and what you would say if you were offered it. if you don’t know what Doping is its when an athlete uses drugs to increase their performance.

As you know from my previous posts, recently we have been learning about the Olympics. Our task this week was to pick a sport and make it into people speaking Maori but I would voice over what they would be saying! an example would be if they where saying Kia Ora, like what I just started this post with, then I’d voice over me saying the same thing in Maori. Here I will leave you my create for you to see if you wish.

Recently we have been learning about Mary rising up to heaven body and soul. We have been learning about this because her Ascension is on the 15th of August.  We learnt about symbols about her and what they mean and what I learnt was that shes basically the Queen of heaven because shes the only one whose body went up with her. she went up to be with her son we know him as our Lord and savior.
